We are very proud to announce that Phil Henry has joined the Barron Team as the new TRACE*LITE Brand Director. Phil comes to Barron Lighting Group with 30 plus years of lighting experience and an extensive background in LED manufacturing. He started in the industry in 1979 with Stonco Lighting as an Inside Sales Manager. Phil stayed on with the company as they were purchased by Philips in 2008. During his 33 years with Philips, he led the Inside Sales Team, Product Management, and Outside Sales Team and eventually moved into Marketing and Product Development for the Stonco/Crescent/Exceline brands. Phil's tenure in the industry places him in a unique position to oversee our growing TRACE*LITE division. Phil's goal is to position TRACE-LITE as the leader in LED stock solutions at the distribution level. Steve Walker, VP of Sales says, "We welcome Phil to our Barron team. Phil's new role as Product Director for TRACE*LITE will be focused on creating new families of LED product and style. I believe the knowledge he brings will take TRACE*LITE to the next level." In addition to his successful career in the lighting industry, Phil recently celebrated his 34th wedding anniversary with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include boating, movies and magic. We are very proud to announce that Steve Schwartz has joined the Barron Team as the new Western Regional VP. Schwartz comes to Barron Lighting Group after ten years as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Elco Lighting, where he ran sales for the U.S. and Canada. Before that, Schwartz was a factory sales representative for Juno Lighting in Los Angeles. He came to the lighting industry after a career in the film industry, where he was employed as the director of development for film-maker Wolfgang Petersen, the director of the films Das Boot, In the Line of Fire, The Perfect Storm, and Troy. His national lighting experience puts Schwartz in a unique position to run sales in the Western Region. He has forged relationships with many of the area's top distributors and national account partners. “Steve’s background in lighting sales along with his management skills will enhance our ability to further support our industry partners,” remarked Steve Walker, VP of Sales. In addition to his successful career in the lighting industry, Mr. Schwartz is an L.A. Times bestselling author and has written for the Discovery Channel. He enjoys spending time with his wife of twenty years and his two young boys. Please welcome Steve in his new position! |
